<p>[Published April 26, 2023 8:25&nbsp;pm ]</p><p>Traditionally, a martial art can be the cure for violence and a path to enlightenment. Few other types of meditation can offer the same sort of immediate biofeedback that a martial art can provide. But it is important to realize that enlightenment is not merely the goal of the martial art. Enlightenment is the path to mastery.</p><p>It is by understanding the nature of reality, and of ourselves, and of our place in the universe, that we can attain the highest levels of skill in the art.</p><p>This is practical, not merely fanciful or idealistic.</p><p>In this video, we investigate the concept of emptiness, and stillness as a response to danger. The common response when one experiences fear, is to attempt to increase control, even when there is no way to judge what sort of control would be effective. Such a need for control leads to attachment, which only makes the problem worse.</p><p>By going the other way, id est, seeking stillness and emptiness, one can find the balance and perspective necessary to respond intelligently.
